Clean, bright and bursting with activities for the whole family, Southport’s premier leisure attraction is sure to bring fun and laughter to every visitor. In 2016 we have brand new rides to experience, new performances around the park by our resident actors and magician, a fabulous family amusement arcade, a brand new coffee area serving beautiful Illy coffee, fun and games on the stalls, gift shop, food and drink outlets and the park is totally free to enter!

We look after our grounds all year to ensure our flower beds are blooming and our lawns are green so that you can enjoy the colour and spectacle whether you are riding or not.

Opening Hours

Please see our Calendar to check which days we are open this season.

Our Casablanca area will open every day from 11am so that you can come and enjoy the family amusement arcade or pop in for a coffee before you begin to ride!

Our main visitor entrance opens at 11am which is when the rides start to roll and the fun really begins! So long as the weather is kind to us, we remain open each day until at least 6pm. (As we are predominantly an outside attraction, we may have to close the rides early if the weather proves a health and safety risk.)

Attractions

Our park is designed with families in mind so our rides can be ridden by most ages, although sometimes our little visitors need to be accompanied.

Aside from our rides, we have lots of fun stalls including some real old favourites like Hook a Duck and the Arabian Derby!

Our resident caricaturist can create fabulous drawings for you to take away and there is face painting and temporary tattoos for those wanting a special look!

Let’s not forget our Go Kart track (payable by cash, not Fun Card) where budding Lewis Hamilton’s can test their skills in a safe environment.

Shows

Regularly throughout the season we have fabulous, free shows in our performance areas around the park where visitors can interact with the cast from Frozen, join in the singing and have photographs taken.

We also have our wandering Magician who will stun and amaze you with his close up magic and conjuring shows.

We have everything you need here to keep your energy levels topped up! Our refurbished coffee bar in Casablanca sells beautiful Illy coffee as well as snacks. Casablanca also hosts our licenced bar for those wanting something a little stronger than tea!

We also have a coffee bar within the gift shop with beautiful cakes, cookies and ice creams.

And our fantastic traditional fish and chips shop has built up a great reputation for quality, tasty fish and some of the best chips in town!

Not forgetting our licenced Bavarian Grill Bar, donut stall, sandwich and burger bar, ice cream stalls and all those pick and mix sweets in the gift shop!

For those wanting to ‘do it themselves’, we have lovely grassed areas for picnics and there are plenty of tables and chairs dotted around the park to sit with your sarnies.

Health & Safety

The health and safety of our visitors and staff is of paramount importance. We therefore ask that our visitors respect the guidance given by ride operators in terms of safety on rides. Please respect the advice of the ride operator and don’t ask them to bend the rules!

We welcome well behaved dogs who are kept on a lead during their visit. We provide watering stations.

Parents and guardians must also take responsibility for the children in their care at all times as they have a duty of care to do so.

Most rides have a safety restraint. A few people might find that there are difficulties fastening the restraint securely due to size. Please don’t take it personally if we say you cannot ride. We are purely concerned with your safety.

If you think a health condition could be exacerbated by a ride, take a good look before you ride and consider the effects on you or the relevant member of your party. If in doubt, please don’t ride!

Certain rides require a minimum height, which is for the protection of the rider. Please adhere to this requirement.

Our park is completely smoke free – please respect this rule and only smoke outside the perimeter walls.

We of course encourage our visitors to take the healthy option and cycle to Pleasureland! But we request that you do not cycle inside the park as this would be a hazard to our visitors.

In the event of severe weather, we may be forced to close rides for health and safety reasons. We don’t like to do this but we have to consider the comfort of our visitors and our staff as well as any risks presented by strong wind and rain.

Information For Disabled Guests

The park grounds are flat and it is easy to navigate a wheelchair around the paths. The vast majority of our rides are suitable for all levels of ability although on some it is advisable to be accompanied. Our Ride Operators will be able to advise in these few cases.

We don’t generally experience major issues with queuing but if you think you may have problems waiting to ride, please speak to the ride operator who will, if necessary, keep your place for you.

If you think you will need particular support during your visit, please contact us in advance or speak to the member of staff at the gate and we will do what we can to assist you and to ensure you have a great visit.

If you think a health condition may be affected by a ride, please make sure you view the ride before going on and maybe take the safe route and don’t ride! Not all of our rides are suitable for all of our visitors and our ride operators have to abide by strict operating instructions.
