Here’s all you need to help plan a great family day out!
With lots to see and do, rides to suit everyone and free entry, Southport Pleasureland is a fantastic day out for the whole family.
Clean, bright and bursting with activities for the whole family, Southport’s premier leisure attraction is sure to bring fun and laughter to every visitor. We have lots of rides to experience, a Go Kart track, a fabulous family amusement arcade, fun and games on the stalls, gift shop, plenty of food and drink outlets and the park is totally free to enter!
We look after our grounds all year to ensure our flower beds are blooming and our lawns are green so that you can enjoy the colour and spectacle whether you are riding or not. And if you prefer to bring your own food, you can use our grassed areas for your picnic.
We also have our wandering Magician who will stun and amaze you with his close up magic and conjuring.
Paying for Rides
At Southport Pleasureland we operate an e-card token system called a FUN CARD, to enable visitors to enjoy all of the rides and attractions in the park.
Simply visit one of our kiosks or token boxes and you’ll be able to purchase your Southport Pleasureland Fun Card and souvenir lanyard for just £1. You will be given a souvenir lanyard if available. Then load up your card with as many tokens as you'd like to spend and away you go! The credit card sized FUN CARD is small, convenient and very simple to use AND you can use it AGAIN and AGAIN during the season in which you purchased it!
It’s so easy!
At each ride or attraction, your card is quickly scanned and the tokens required for that ride are deducted automatically. If your balance is running low and you want to stay longer, you can top up your card at any time or you can set yourself a maximum so you make sure you keep within your budget! Remember that your card is valid within a season of purchase which runs from March till November each year. Each rider over 5 year of age must have their own Fun Card.
Our VIP Cards – buy in advance and save money
The VIP card offer allows you to use rides unlimitedly within four hours. VIP is easy to buy online, choose date you want to visit us, book it and collect in the park on the day of visiting. The VIP cards starts working as soon as you activate it on your first ride and lasts for four hours. Remember we open till approximately 6 pm so make sure you come early enough to benefit from this fantastic offer. When time runs out, you still can keep the card and top it up with new tokens when you next visit.
Please see our Calendar to check which days we are open this season.
On open days, our main visitor entrance opens at 11am which is when the rides start to roll and the fun really begins! So long as the weather is kind to us, we remain open each day until at least 6pm. (As we are predominantly an outside attraction, we may have to close the rides early if the weather proves a health and safety risk.)
So much to do!
We’re not just about rides at Pleasureland. We’ve a whole host of other things going on to make your day a great one.
Our Sega themed family arcade is a great place to while away some time. There are the latest games, air hockey, video racing and plenty of machines with prize tickets to be won!
We’ve also lots of stalls to test your skill or your luck, like the Arabian Derby, Hook a Duck and Penalty Shoot Out.
Fancy having your caricature done? Our resident artist will oblige! There are also temporary glitter tattoos and face painting for the children.

Health & Safety Points to note!
The health and safety of our visitors and staff is of paramount importance. We therefore ask that our visitors respect the guidance given by ride operators in terms of safety on rides. Please respect the advice of the ride operator and don’t ask them to bend the rules!
Parents and guardians must also take responsibility for the children in their care at all times as they have a duty of care to do so.
Most rides have a safety restraint. A few people might find that there are difficulties fastening the restraint securely due to size. Please don’t take it personally if we say you cannot ride. We are purely concerned with your safety.
If you think a health condition could be exacerbated by a ride, take a good look before you ride and consider the effects on you or the relevant member of your party. If in doubt, please don’t ride!
Certain rides require a minimum height, which is for the protection of the rider. Please adhere to this requirement.
Our park is completely smoke free – please respect this rule and only smoke outside the perimeter walls.
We of course encourage our visitors to take the healthy option and cycle to Pleasureland! But we request that you do not cycle inside the park as this would be a hazard to our visitors.
In the event of severe weather, we may be forced to close rides for health and safety reasons. We don’t like to do this but we have to consider the comfort of our visitors and our staff as well as any risks presented by strong wind and rain.
Information For Disabled Guests
The park grounds are flat and it is easy to navigate a wheelchair around the paths. The vast majority of our rides are suitable for all levels of ability although on some it is advisable to be accompanied. Our Ride Operators will be able to advise in these few cases.
We don’t generally experience major issues with queuing but if you think you may have problems waiting to ride, please speak to the ride operator who will, if necessary, keep your place for you.
If you think you will need particular support during your visit, please contact us in advance or speak to the member of staff at the gate and we will do what we can to assist you and to ensure you have a great visit.
If you think a health condition may be affected by a ride, please make sure you view the ride before going on and maybe take the safe route and don’t ride! Not all of our rides are suitable for all of our visitors and our ride operators have to abide by strict operating instructions.
